Pastor Carlos Navarrete preaching in Rhode Island

Pastor Carlos was born in the country of El Salvador during a time of conflict and civil war. His family moved to Southern California where he was called to ministry, and began pastoring while still a Bible college student.

He and Jenny met in college and married 20 years ago. Their greatest joys are the five children that God has given to them: Isabelle, Micah, Samuel, Faith and Luke.

In late 2018, God called him to be the Senior Pastor of the Greater Rhode Island Baptist Temple in Johnston, RI. Pastor Carlos is passionate about Bible preaching, corporate prayer, the filling of the Holy Spirit and evangelism. He preaches the Bible in both English and Spanish and seeks to lead a culturally relevant ministry in a culturally diverse area in the heart of New England.

His hobbies include biking, exercise, family drives, and a good cup of coffee. He’s a New York Yankees fan, and will watch (just about) anyone play a soccer game.
